Power generation plants vary greatly across the industry, from those fueled by coal or natural gas to those powered by nuclear, hydroelectric or geothermal energy. But though they operate differently, they still share a common goal: to meet the growing demand for energy in a responsible, efficient way. Flowway’s depth and breadth of applied engineering expertise, product innovation and reliability services help plants of all types increase uptime, reduce emissions and improve efficiency to achieve all of their goals.

We deliver proven mechanical seal technologies and services that improve power plant manufacturing performance through:

  • Increased operational reliability
  • Improved equipment uptime
  • Fewer maintenance interventions
  • Reduced seal water usage and energy consumption
  • Cost-effective environmental compliance

Specialized Products for Power Generation plants

Our portfolio of power plant application-specific components spans all industry sectors:

O-Ring Pusher Seals

Type FW-58B Mechanical Seal: Rugged and available in a wide variety of elastomers for handling a wide range of industrial fluids

Type FW-4610 Mechanical Seal: Compact, economical single seal that provides excellent seal life

Elastomer Bellow Seals

Type FW-2100: Designed for tight sealing spaces and abnormal shaft-end play, run-out and equipment tolerances; used for centrifugal and positive displacement pumps, mixers, agitators, compressors, blowers, fans and other rotating equipment.

Slurry Seals

Type FW-5860: Designed for handling slurries with solids contents up to 60% by weight, without the need for water flush support; used for FGD slurry pumps, sludge pumps and coal slurry transportation.

Boiler Feed Water and Booster Pump Seals

Type FW-H75F: Designed for high pressure feed water and booster pumps used in all power plants. Specially designed for KSB,SULZER pumps.

Seal Support System

Reservoir FW-TS1 :  General duty reservoir that can withstand pressure up to 16 bar while providing buffer/barrier fluid to a dual-seal arrangement

Reservoir FW-TS2 :  General duty reservoir that can withstand pressure up to 26 bar while providing buffer/barrier fluid to a dual-seal arrangement

Cyclone Separators: Typically used in an API Plan 31 arrangement and incorporated in the seal flush line (API Plan 11 ) from the discharge of the pump
